Design Conjecture Science and Tech

This Design conjecture comes from the Sciences and Technology literary reviews. These pieces touched on some interesting phases of the recycling process. The new sea robots polypropylene plastics, where they are refi show initiatives in technology to gather trash and pollution out of our oceans. Additionally, there are innovations in recycling plastic back into a resin substance that allows them to be recycled independently without the imperfections usually seen with other methods.

The current technology shows a picture starting to emerge of a circular economy where plastics are endlessly recycled. This shifts plastic into a valuable resource instead of something easily discarded. This will help keep litter out of our natural environments, helping to preserve wildlife and ecosystems.

One hole I see emerging in this system is the transportation of plastic waste between the collected litter and the manufacturers processing plastic into products. This design proposes a system where plastic is collected in bins that are incorporated into any environment to be easily picked up. This system and consistent branding will allow plastic recycling to have a place within society, additionally providing education on the subject and making it more accessible.
