Eco friendly paper which is changing the future
Eco-paper, a kind of paper typically made from bamboo or recycled material, is helping pave the way to a cleaner word.
Eco-friendly paper is a type of paper that is produced using sustainable practices that minimize the impact on the environment. This includes using renewable resources such as bamboo and recycled materials.(EcoExplorers, 2023)
Traditional paper production consumes vast amounts of water and energy, which contributes to greenhouse gas emissions and climate change. In contrast, eco-friendly paper production uses renewable resources and minimizes the use of harmful chemicals, which reduces the overall environmental impact.
It is more durable and long-lasting, making it an ideal choice for printing important documents and packaging. Eco-friendly paper is also more resistant to water, humidity, and temperature changes, making it a great choice for products that will be used in different environments.
Sustainable design is about creating products that meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
Designers are constantly exploring new materials and technologies to create products that are beautiful, functional, and sustainable. Eco-friendly paper is a versatile material that can be used in a wide range of products, from stationery and packaging to furniture and architecture.
Sustainable paper production creates jobs and income for local communities, which supports economic development and reduces poverty
This article provides a very compelling argument for the use of eco-paper stating all the ecological benefits to its use and production. In production it requires less resources to make. Meaning you can make more and not have as much of an impact. As for it's properties as a material, It's enhanced features makes it a better alternative to traditional paper which is more susceptible to damage.
After reading this article I find myself wondering if eco-paper could be made on a large scale? For industrial designers, who rarely make one off products, the ability to mass produce items is important. And as such, finding sustainable alternatives to typical manufacturing procedures is our responsibility. The article highlights all the good things about eco-paper but fails to mention any drawbacks to either producing or utilizing eco-paper.
