Money Mates is a socially integrated banking feature that allows communities to come together over their financial goals. Finances have commonly been a solitary activity, however this changes the framework in which finances are commonly viewed. With the introduction of this collaborative framework users are able to share the progress that they are making towards their goals, celebrate milestones that they have completed, and hold each other accountable for achieving these goals. This app would allow for user to share their personalized saving goals, making them visible within their chosen groups, such as friends, family, or even saving groups. Users are able to post about their financial achievements which can then be recognized by other through the use of celebratory messages from other users, group notifications, or badges. By integrating a social ecosystem into a banking app is not only increase the user engagement but also promotes support in hitting those goals through peer support.
