Design Conjecture: A Camera That Keeps You Present -DriveCam

Concept Visualization

DriveCam is a small physical camera designed to help people capture moments. Thinking about why trend of a digicam is coming back, feeling of a nostalgic and genuity moves people's mind. Unlike a smartphone, DriveCam doesn't have screen, photo preview, or gallery. It is for you to capture a moment in your mind.

The idea is to reduce the distraction that can come from using a smartphone to take photos during a family drive. Using this, the moment can be discovered at the end of the journey rather than cosuming a photo right after taking it.

During a journey, a passenger can take a small built-in digicam from its dock on the side of the car. The camera has only one button to capture. After taking a photo, the user puts it back into its dock and continues the journey.

When the car reaches its destination, the car’s digital screen asks whether the journey is over. Once confirmed, the photos captured throughout the ride are released and displayed as a collection.
