Design Conjecture One, Slide Space
Slide Space is an innovative and convenient storge solution that fits perfectly in your car and has the ability to bring your family together. Slide Space is a set of storage drawers that are located under each of the four to six seats located in an individual's car. These drawers can easily button to the seat to prevent them from moving and sliding around when the car is in motion. If an individual want to use the drawer, it can be unbuttoned from its fastener and slide the drawer out. When the drawer is pulled out, the individual is presented with a space a top the drawer to play games. The user brings or can purchase predesigned board game packages to fit perfectly on top of the drawer.
If an individual is not looking to play games, one can open the draw and stow away any of their desired belongings. Located in the storage box is a machine washable liner that can easily be removed and placed back into position. If a family is looking for a way to connect, they can take all the drawers out and put them together in the back of the car to create a table. This is a great opportunity when camping or eating on the go such as a sporting event tailgate.
The conceptual design of the Slide Space was inspired by an article discussing small storage slots in the trunk of a car. As the car is a hybrid, it has a funky trunk to allow room for some of the electrical components of the car. As an innovative solution, Toyota repurposed the space and created tiny slots, relieving the trunk of an uneven surface.

Downsides
The downsides to the slide space is the drawers can become heavy and hard to pull out when too much stuff is shoved within the storage space. The drawers can become unlatched and possibly slide out if the driving becomes rough; this poses a safety hazard. In addition, the games that are produced for the car can get old overtime. For some people, it may be a hassle to pull out these drawers.
