MaterialView
MaterialView: Where Did I Come From is an educational info system that can be installed alongside any installation, art piece, public service, or other design that uses recycled material.
This rapid sketch prototype is meant to provide an outlet for creatives to introduce the way they utilized a circular economy to the masses. Inspired by my research into Washed Ashore, a company that creates educational material about marine trash to pair alongside recycled art exhibits, this conjecture gives all the information needed to raise awareness about utilizing these waste streams for creativity, rather than letting the trash affect the environment.
An issue that could arise with this design is that it may be too similar to any plaque or explanation that the artist themselves would supply. A solution to this issue would be to further research and refine the physical design of the product, so that it takes on its own unique brand identity.
