MyPlant

MyPlant is a modular and expandable playset that allows a user to learn and play with the process of recycling materials, made of recycled plastic.

This rapid design sketch represents a children's toy or toy set that would feature educational models or a recycling plant. The set would feature multiple play features similar to machinery found in a recycling resource center. The set would also be expandable with different pieces of machinery, allowing the user to customize their own flow of operations. This design comes from research into the space of toys and entertainment, how companies are using recycled material to educate children, and how they are using recycled material as a means of production as well.

Like similar products, toys, learning tools, etc., the primary issue with something like this would be catering to the masses. Some children might find this learning experience very stimulating, some may just want to use the play features, and others might not be interested at all. The primary goal of this product would be to reach as many people as possible to get them educated on the process while having fun, so user testing would make the difference in specific features that it might have.
