Stellantis and Applied Intuition Launch the Future of Cabin Intelligence
("Stellantis and Applied Intuition," n.d.)

Cars have long been products that are sold just as is and each customer receives the same product. But things are changing in the way cars react to those who use them. With the integration of artificial intelligence systems into cars, it presents the opportunity for systems to adjust to their users and create a curated experience that is individually unique to each and every driver.

Today, Applied Intuition and Stellantis announced a collaboration to deliver intelligent in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) across the automaker’s worldwide brands. By deeply integrating with all layers of a vehicle’s operating system, the IVI platform makes the cabin experience as seamless as using a smartphone—unlocking personalized experiences based on the driver’s preferences, easy feature updates, and a premium brand experience.
For years, drivers have found infotainment systems frustrating—slow to respond, difficult to navigate, and rarely personalized. Automakers have felt this as well, spending large sums on built-in IVI solutions that are hard to update and outdated once they hit the market. For car companies, the stakes of getting infotainment right are high. According to a 2025 survey by McKinsey & Company, 38% of car owners in Germany said they might switch brands for a better digital experience.
Cabin Intelligence offers:
Customization at scale: OEMs have the tooling and SDK integrations to tailor interface layouts, applications, navigation stacks, and brand-specific content for any model and region, delivering distinct branded experiences on a single, cost-efficient platform without rewrites or expensive custom projects.
Vehicle-aware intelligence: Navigation knows what vehicle is in use, choosing routes based on the vehicle's powertrain and job, and optimizing based on all available data.
Full-stack transparency: Applied Intuition’s platform gives OEMs visibility, integration flexibility and validation control over every system layer. This enables global compliance, efficiency, and ongoing competitive differentiation.

This presents the possibility for a catered experience not only to the systems present in the front seat but also to the back row. This technology can create a specialized experience for each passenger within the car rather than the cookie cutter experience that all users of cars have been given. More importantly, in addition to creating a separate experience for users in the car but also a catered experience for the social environment of everyone in the car. I can imagine a specified mode that could be created or even developed over time that fosters a satisfying experience that ensures that everyone enjoys their time in the car
