Tech Investors and Longevity Influencers Back Neko's Health Expansion
Neko Health is a new healthcare company that focuses on preventative care. Their model focuses on providing customers with diagnostic full-body scans and blood tests to increase lifespan and promote disease prevention. Currently Neko only operates in Sweden and Britain. However, they are trying to get into the New York market and thus need funding to expand their business. Through providing potential investors scans and reach in their social circles, Neko has been able to raise $700 million. This money will be used “to invest in the research and technology that will make prevention possible at scale.” (_____ Put citation) I think it’s an interesting concept, especially with health and health optimization becoming very large trends lately. However, I wonder whether this technology could be used to create more accessible care for individuals with need.
The new funding will be used “to invest in the research and technology that make prevention possible at scale,” Mr. Nilsonne said in an interview.
Having funding to discover and create the product is not always enough. You need to prove to that it has value to get money for expansion
“For more than 20 years, I’ve tracked every metric imaginable to optimize health and performance. It’s expensive, complicated and fragmented,” Mr. Ferriss said in an emailed statement. “I’ve invested in Neko because they offer beautiful simplicity, and only simplicity scales: You get a high-definition map of your biology in less than 60 minutes, explained by an unhurried doctor.”
Interesting way to expand the services and possibilities with healthcare services.
Beyond the sector’s buzzy appeal, investors have been drawn to Neko Health because of its success breaking into markets where people don’t need to pay for health care but are still willing to spend on Neko’s services, Mr. Ek said in an interview.
Even among the areas of healthcare where people don’t want to pay, where will they pay? These are important areas to people
Thanks to social media and artificial intelligence, whole-body scans have taken off in recent years. Prenuvo and Ezra, two U.S. rivals, rely on established diagnostic technologies — such as M.R.I. machines — to help customers screen for disease. Influencers and celebrities have called those scans lifesavers.
Social media has become a great way to spread information on services and new technology. What makes it successful in this way that may even help with getting important information to patients?
