The Future of Our Forests
Unfortunately, forest fires are extremely common. They have lasting effects on the environment, including wildlife and nature's natural scenery. Although, new hope has emerged for the environments that were affected from these fires. Can these lasting effects from there forest fires be reversed through the restoration of these spaces? Such as planning trees and relocating wildlife until it is safe for them to return to their natural habitat.
"A changing climate could pose a further obstacle to recovery. Colorado was hit by the warmest winter on record this past year, as well as an alarmingly low snowpack," (As forests burn, can we replant trees ready for a warmer world, 2026).

"Now, they have planted some 11,000 seedlings from seven conifer species at 98 burned sites, ranging from dry foothills in Colorado’s Front Range to subalpine forests a few hundred meters below timberline," (As forests burn, can we replant trees ready for a warmer world, 2026).
"In his view, it’s long past time to seriously consider assisted migration as a management tool. “We’ve got such strong evidence that we are losing our forests,” he says," (As forests burn, can we replant trees ready for a warmer world, 2026).

"The seedlings may also benefit from the way the fire burned. This spot is a high-severity burn area—meaning few if any trees survived to kick-start natural regeneration of the area’s Engelmann spruce and subalpine fire," (As forests burn, can we replant trees ready for a warmer world, 2026).

It’s a question that scientists and managers are increasingly grappling with across western North America as they sound the alarm about the threat climate change poses to the region’s forests. “We can’t just sit on our haunches and wait for nature to take care of itself,” O’Neil argues. “This is really serious," (As forests burn, can we replant trees ready for a warmer world, 2026).

Reflection
Fires have a lasting effect on the environment we live in. It does not help that the climate is increasing, but can we react to these climate changes with how we design cars? Can the car be designed in a way to eliminate the CO2 cars release when they are driven? Are there interior features within a car that derive resources from the natural environment? Are these resources necessary in the production of these components of the car?
