The "Mom Car"
The Toyota Sequoia has recently coined the name "Mom Car" for its many features that leave moms loving it on social media. The car has a lot of features to offer including more space for car seats to be properly strapped in, windows that that are not childproof allowing the windows to roll all the way down, slotted shelving in the trunk of the car and much more.
"The entry point is wide, the load floor is low, and the ceiling is tall, giving me tons of room to work with. I didn’t have to bend too low or lift their seats too high to get their seats installed. The doors are large, but they open at almost a perfect 90 degrees, so I didn’t have to maneuver the seats at all to get them in, or risk banging into the door panels," (Brown, 2026).

"They’re arguably just as comfortable as the driver or passenger’s seats, with armrests, large, tinted windows, customizable climate controls, and 39.2 inches of legroom. Between the two passengers, there are a total of six cupholders: two on the rear of the center console, and two in each door panel. Each window had a built-in shade, too, so if the dark tint wasn’t dark enough, it would be easy enough to lift and secure the shade," (Brown 2026).

"Slotting the shelf into its upper position bridges the height gap against the folded third row, leveling out the cargo floor. This setup also creates a tiered underfloor nook—perfect for tucking away soggy cleats or camping gear away from your main luggage. And it’s surprisingly tough: rated to hold up to 220 pounds, which genuinely impressed my husband and me. But that still leaves the height issue, as the shelf increases the load floor by quite a bit," (Brown, 2026).

Reflection
The 2026 Toyota Sequioa has a lot to offer for not only a mom, but the whole family. There are a lot of features the car has to offer including spaciousness for large families, as well as nooks and crannies to store numerous items when on the go. Due to the car being hybrid, the trunk area of the car is raised a bit to create an even floor. Although, I think Honda was innovative with how they chose to reutilize the elevated trunk space. Rather they made small slots, enabling users to store small items in these slots such as dirty shoes and more. I have never seen another car have small storage spaces in the trunk because the floor is usually even, but I do think this is a very clever way of reusing the space. The car also offers a moonroof, that is large enough to bring light into all rows of the car I think this is a great way to create a very inviting space amongst the family through light.
