Financial Health is an important aspect when considering one's financial goals as an individual in society. When calculating your net worth, you can use this number as a point of comparison with other individuals in your class in society. In addition, calculating your finances is a visual that displays what you own verse what you owe others.

"You measure net worth by subtracting liabilities from assets," (Lazarony 2025).

Liabilities are things you owe other people, such as money. Assets on the other hand are things you own, including cash for example.

"You can compare your net worth with your peers once you know your net worth," (Lazarony 2025).

Comparing your net worth to net worth of other individuals, you are able to reflect on this feedback and make changes as necessary.

"You don’t need a big income to achieve a good net worth, but you will need good savings habits," (Lazarony 2025).

If individuals save money, they have money to spend elsewhere.

"You can improve net worth by increasing income, bolstering savings, lowering spending, and paying down debt," (Lazarony 2025).

"Net worth helps view your entire financial situation, but it’s only a snapshot in time. When net worth is tracked over time, it helps indicate the direction of one’s financial health," (Lazarony 2025).

"You don’t have to have a big income to achieve a healthy net worth,"(Lazarony 2025).

Calculating one's net worth is an important aspect regarding ones financial situation. It is a representation that display you liabilities (what you owes other people) and what you have (cash, etc.).
